We have been asked to pray for David who is 70, for healing and for the understanding of the professionals to give him a clean bill of health so that he can keep driving, after his ordeal in France.
It is very important for their ministry in Holland - they are the church there teaching and doing pastoral care - that they are able to return as soon as possible. They have had two aborted attempts and have a real feeling of the enemy attacking them.
On top of all this their youngest daughter was recently rushed to hospital with cellulitis - inflamation of the tissues - with 3 young children and a husband to look after.
Amongst all this angst we would also pray for Davids wife for the strength to cope with everything that is going on at the moment and for inner peace at this time.

Rosie has a colleague, Michelle, who has been diagnosed with level one cancer, she is going in for an emergency operation in two weeks time, can we pray for her to be able to cope at this time. We would like to pray that the operation and the subsequent recuperation goes well. We also hope that her son 13yr old Jack is able to help and cope with his mothers illness.

This evening we had a prayer meeting in Brislington to focus on two of our groups. James told us about LRG the life recovery group. As seen on their new posters and contact cards - "It is a bible based group for people struggling with addictions of any kind who are looking to explore faith and the healing that can come from knowing god"

We will shortly be providing an information piece and link to their web site, in the mean time if you want to get in touch with them please call 07858 757226. We should pray in particular for the stepping up to the plate of more mentors, from within and outside the group, those with experience in various fields of knowledgeand or experience of addicitve lifestyles. James runs a 2 day course to prepare mentors.

With many people interested they are about to launch a second evening and We pray for James to have the wisdom to know how to facilitate the next step.

We also pray for James to keep a hold on his work, LRG and life balance, to give him comfort and support as well as strength to take this forward.

We also heard from Fiona about her womens group who meet at wellspring cafe in Wicklea youth and community centre. See more on our brislington groups section. They are an outreach group of ladies giving support and sence of community to women in the brislington area, there is a room in which the children can play as the coffee drinking and chat happens. once a month there is a craft morning. They have also managed to aquire funding with which they are going to spruce up the back room and put in sofas and more toys. But they are also going to hold the main meetings in the cafe in order to reach more people.

In prayer we are asked to focus the group and encourage more people to attend these relationship based meetings, they are already talking of a possible second meeting every week. We pray particularly for Fiona with her vision of community within the group and its further success.
